Home update

Well, sadly, I only make enough to buy the equivalent of a mobile home, and there is no availability. We’ve turned into Europe, where the land owners are insensitive moneygrabbers who care not that they leech off society’s less fortunate; the banks are even worse. I can’t afford a house that is less than half my rent. I’m in tears.

Starting Beginnings

Scared myself

Started the process for purchasing a home.

First, I talked to a realtor. I’ve worked with him before and hope that this time we’ll be successful.

The realtor (Jerry) referred me to a loan officer (Elaine) and I have just finished uploading documents to her.

What. Have. I. Done.

This is the first time I’m doing this alone and I’m nervous as allgitout as I have a terrible track record of achieving anything major on my own and a house is about as major as it gets.

Well, here goes nothing…

Stars And Stripes

Through the rockets red glare, the bombs bursting in air…

Found this beauty on one of the multitudes of media platforms and wondered if this is what inspired Betsy Ross’s design of the American flag?

Acting Ages

Aging is a funny thing. You spend your life running full throttle to get it done.

School, school, more school, and even more for some, for others, the lucky ones, school never stops; throughout this, there is socializing, dating, marriage, family, chidren, other dynamics, leading to the transfer of power and authority as the family matures

…and then,

Fate, oh yeah, fate – the all powerful, morbidly twisted, dark sense of humor that is so endearing is our fates. She hits you; she hits you hard, laughing at the mess you followed her into, daring you to have the strength to right yourself again – if you’ve ever been right in the first place.

This is the defining moment of truth. Are you willing to follow fate into that rabbit hole of old age or do you give in and begin the next faze of our existence, or, for some, it’s just over

Yeah, aging is just fate making fun of you.

Human Nudity

I have no problem with nudity in public; and yeah, I’m gonna look at your package, or sisters, they’re there darn right I’ll look, but I won’t linger any more than on any other part of your body. Now if you have a particularly interesting, unusual or exceptionally beautiful body part I will chance a pause; however I don’t see the body as most y’all do.

I see color variations and shadows, shapes and patterns, lines and angles; not to mention the differences in sizes, shapes, and colors. Some are phenomenal, others are sad – tragic even; but still amazing and beautiful.

Take skin for example. I am mesmerized by the color of the skin in all it’s amazing attributes. Did you know that skin has just a hint of sparkle in direct sunlight? You won’t see it unless your looking for it. It’s beautiful.

And that’s just one of the beauties I see!

Another Today

Try again.

I’m thankful. These last years have been difficult.

My brain is full of the tumult in the world around me.

I search for good, I search for beauty, I hunt for the greatness in all things to replace the images of darkness in my mind.

Web log

I lost track of why I started this online writing webpage, or blooooooogg… I really hate that word, I don’t know why, but I refuse to call my site a blog because of it. Blog… what does that mean anyways…

Back on point. I am writing this because I love research, and knowing that most people do not like research I have decided to post my researchings, that said, I will research blog and post my results:

BLOG – First, blog stands for weB LOG. According to Wikipedia [hyperlink] (under HISTORY) the term ‘blog’ was started first as “weblog” which was coined by Jorn Barger. The short form, “blog”, was coined by Peter Merholz, who jokingly broke the word weblog into the phrase we blog in the sidebar of his blog Peterme.com in April or May 1999. Shortly thereafter, Evan Williams at Pyra Labs used “blog” as both a noun and verb (“to blog”, meaning “to edit one’s weblog or to post to one’s weblog”) and devised the term “blogger” in connection with Pyra Labs’ Blogger product, leading to the popularization of the terms.

Of course the Wiki page is far more in depth, plus there are more references when you google it, but the basics are right here without fishing through entire articles to find the answer to your questions.

Actually, under the definition given, is my web page a blog? Maybe, maybe not, Does it really matter. Isn’t it just good enough to call it my web page, whether I blog or not? Does it matter? I think not. Since I don’t like the term, then I will continue to use web site, web page… whichever…

Anywho, until next time… Good day.

Yep, all I needed was that deadline. My next book, Dark Fate, is now being reviewed by my publisher. Hopefully there aren’t too many mistakes, although I do have a few corrections to input as soon as I get my preview copy to edit.

Next book will have a deadline, definitely.

Please will someone just give me a deadline!!!

It’s been far too long and though I’m so close to the end, I find myself tweaking parts instead of just ending the darn thing.

I need someone, in charge, to sit me down and say ‘Do it by this time or we’ll publish what you have’.

I know it sounds drastic, I know it sounds totally irresponsible on my part, after all, I’m a full-grown published author, so WHY IS THIS SO HARD?

So, Rook Publishing, here is my deadline. I will have my first draft to you on or before July 10th.

There, deadline set. Now time to end this!

Fresh Starts

I’m starting fresh. I’m in a new home in a new town. New beginnings all around. Though moving after thirteen years in the same home is quite traumatic, it’s good to leave behind the gathering of useless items that seem to attach themselves after time. How does that happen?

Going through said items, I look at the mess and wonder why? Why did I keep this? What purpose did this even serve?

Thankfully I had the wherewithal to leave much of the uselessness behind; even though, as I organize my new home I find that I still have plenty to spare, but it is only a manageable drop in the bucket compared to the plethora of treasure… er… stuff… er junk… I left behind.

Still, I have much to sift through before the next move – the bigger move. I have several years to sort, organize, and/or toss the remains of a life I wish to leave behind, after all, isn’t that what ‘starting fresh’ means?
